Ingredients

Prices are from Kroger the week of October 11, 2026. Sale prices change every week and differ by store.

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut potatoes into 1-inch pieces and toss with 1 tablespoon olive oil, salt and pepper. Spread on a sheet pan and roast for 20 minutes.
  2. Beat the egg in a shallow bowl. Dip seasoned pork chops in egg, then coat both sides with panko. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear chops 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. Add green beans to the pan with potatoes, toss with salt and pepper, and roast for 5 minutes until tender. Transfer pork chops to the pan for the last 2 minutes to heat through.

Why it’s cheap

3 of the 8 ingredients were on sale at Kroger the week of October 11, 2026, led by pork chops, herb seasoned at $3.00 instead of $5.00.

The sale items rang up $4.62 under their regular prices.

Penny Meals prices a dinner by the share of each package you actually cook, adds an estimated shelf price for anything that wasn’t on sale, and counts pantry staples like oil and salt as free. That came to $2.22 a serving, or $6.66 for 3 servings.
