Privacy policy
Effective September 15, 2026
Penny Meals is operated by DealHawk. This policy describes the information used to provide the Penny Meals app and website. Contact us at info@dealhawkpro.io with privacy questions.
Information we store
- Your account: email address, password hash, account identifier, account dates, verification status, and any name you provide. We do not store your password in plain text.
- Your deal zone: the ZIP code and store selections you save. The app uses your entered ZIP code to find offers; this flow does not require precise device location.
- Subscriptions: account identifiers and subscription status used to verify Penny Meals Plus access. For web billing, we store the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan interval, status, and renewal details. Apple processes App Store payments; Stripe processes web payments. Penny Meals does not receive your full payment-card number.
- Device storage: session information, favorites, meal baskets and item snapshots, saved recipes, meal preferences, and notification-read status may be stored on your device. These device-only lists are not synchronized as account records on our server.
- Service requests: our hosting and service providers may process IP addresses, request times, technical errors, and the information needed to answer your requests.
How we use information
We use this information to sign you in, protect your account, remember your deal zone, display offers and recipes, verify paid access, handle password resets and account deletion, and respond to support requests.
Services involved
- Amazon Web Services hosts account and application data and supports password-reset email delivery.
- RevenueCat receives your app account identifier and email address and processes subscription information so we can verify purchases, trials, and restorations.
- Apple handles App Store purchases, renewals, cancellations, and its own transaction records.
- Stripe receives your email, Penny Meals account identifier, and information you provide at web Checkout; it handles web purchases, renewals, cancellations, and billing records.
- Retailer and weekly-ad services receive store identifiers or ZIP codes as needed to find offers. Their websites and apps have their own privacy policies when you follow an offer link.
- When recipe generation or coupon verification is enabled, Anthropic processes product, offer, and store information. Those requests do not include your account email or password.
- Vercel hosts this website. Pages using Google Fonts make requests to Google, which can receive your IP address and browser request information.
Retention and account deletion
We retain your account information while your account exists. To delete it, open Profile → Delete account, enter your password, and confirm. If a Penny Meals web billing customer exists, we close its Stripe subscription and request customer deletion before removing your account. If Stripe cannot complete that step, account deletion pauses for a retry. We then remove your account record and email lookup, invalidate its sessions, request deletion of the associated RevenueCat customer profile, and clear local account data on the device making the request.
RevenueCat processes deletion asynchronously. Backup copies and operational logs may remain until their normal retention expires; they are not used as an active account. Apple and Stripe may retain transaction records under their own policies. Device-only copies on other devices can remain until that device removes its local data or the app is uninstalled.
Deleting an account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage subscriptions and trials in Apple subscription settings.
Your choices
You can update your ZIP and stores, change your password, and delete your account in the app. You can remove favorites and basket entries on your device. For access, correction, or other privacy requests, contact info@dealhawkpro.io. We may need to verify that the request concerns your account.
Children and policy updates
Penny Meals is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us. We may update this policy as the service changes; the effective date above identifies the current version.
