Ingredients

Prices are from Publix the week of October 18, 2026. Sale prices change every week and differ by store.

Steps

  1. Start rice according to package directions.
  2. While rice cooks, heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Dice onion and mince garlic.
  3. Add onion to skillet and cook 2 to 3 minutes until softened. Add ground turkey and garlic, breaking turkey into small pieces, and cook 5 to 6 minutes until turkey is no longer pink.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Add spinach a handful at a time, stirring until wilted, about 3 minutes total.
  5. Fluff rice and divide among bowls, top with turkey and spinach mixture, and serve.

Why it’s cheap

3 of the 9 ingredients were on sale at Publix the week of October 18, 2026, led by ground turkey at $3.50 instead of $6.99.

The sale items rang up $7.28 under their regular prices.

Penny Meals prices a dinner by the share of each package you actually cook, adds an estimated shelf price for anything that wasn’t on sale, and counts pantry staples like oil and salt as free. That came to $0.80 a serving, or $3.20 for 4 servings.
