Ingredients

Prices are from Walmart the week of October 11, 2026. Sale prices change every week and differ by store.

Steps

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add bread slices and toast until golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
  2. Drain canned corn and add to the skillet with 2 tablespoons butter. Warm through, about 2 minutes. Stir in a squeeze of lemon juice and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Whisk eggs in a bowl with salt and pepper. Pour into the skillet with corn and stir gently until soft curds form, about 4 to 5 minutes. Do not overcook.
  4. Divide scrambled eggs and corn among plates with toasted bread on the side. Serve with lemon wedges.

Why it’s cheap

2 of the 7 ingredients were on sale at Walmart the week of October 11, 2026, led by great value golden sweet whole kernel corn at $4.00 instead of $6.56.

The sale items rang up $2.97 under their regular prices.

Penny Meals prices a dinner by the share of each package you actually cook, adds an estimated shelf price for anything that wasn’t on sale, and counts pantry staples like oil and salt as free. That came to $1.12 a serving, or $4.48 for 4 servings.
