Ingredients

Prices are from Walmart the week of October 18, 2026. Sale prices change every week and differ by store.

Steps

  1. Peel and shred the potatoes. Squeeze out excess moisture in a clean kitchen towel.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add potatoes, press down, and leave alone for 5 to 6 minutes until golden brown, then stir and brown another 4 to 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, transfer to a plate.
  3. Add remaining oil to the skillet. Crack eggs into it and cook until the whites set and yolks reach your preferred doneness, 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Serve eggs alongside hash browns and fresh pear halves.
