Ingredients

Prices are from Publix the week of October 18, 2026. Sale prices change every week and differ by store.

Steps

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes.
  2. Drain the tuna and flake it into a large bowl.
  3. Drain the pasta, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water, and toss it with the tuna, spinach, and dressing, adding pasta water as needed to loosen.
  4. Season with salt and pepper and serve warm.

Why it’s cheap

4 of the 6 ingredients were on sale at Publix the week of October 18, 2026, led by chunk light tuna in water at $2.99 instead of $4.85.

The sale items rang up $7.07 under their regular prices.

Penny Meals prices a dinner by the share of each package you actually cook, adds an estimated shelf price for anything that wasn’t on sale, and counts pantry staples like oil and salt as free. That came to $2.63 a serving, or $7.89 for 3 servings.
