Ingredients

Prices are from Walmart the week of October 4, 2026. Sale prices change every week and differ by store.

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Meanwhile, halve the grape tomatoes and mince the garlic.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, add garlic and red pepper flakes, and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add tomatoes and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they begin to soften.
  5. Add crab claws and cooked pasta to the skillet, toss everything together, and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Season with salt and pepper and serve immediately.

Why it’s cheap

2 of the 8 ingredients were on sale at Walmart the week of October 4, 2026, led by frozen cooked crab claws and arms at $17.50 instead of $22.24.

The sale items rang up $5.63 under their regular prices.

Penny Meals prices a dinner by the share of each package you actually cook, adds an estimated shelf price for anything that wasn’t on sale, and counts pantry staples like oil and salt as free. That came to $3.07 a serving, or $12.28 for 4 servings.
