Ingredients

Prices are from Publix the week of October 11, 2026. Sale prices change every week and differ by store.

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Unroll crescent roll dough, separate into triangles, and press each into a muffin cup, bringing the point up above the rim.
  2. Dice the ham steak into small cubes. Whisk eggs with salt and pepper.
  3. Place one cheese slice in the bottom of each crescent-lined cup, then divide ham among them.
  4. Pour egg mixture into each cup until three-quarters full. Bake 12 to 14 minutes until eggs are set and crescent edges are golden.
  5. Let cool 1 minute and serve hot.

Why it’s cheap

3 of the 7 ingredients were on sale at Publix the week of October 11, 2026, led by pillsbury crescent rolls at $2.52 instead of $6.03.

The sale items rang up $8.44 under their regular prices.

Penny Meals prices a dinner by the share of each package you actually cook, adds an estimated shelf price for anything that wasn’t on sale, and counts pantry staples like oil and salt as free. That came to $1.64 a serving, or $6.56 for 4 servings.
