How ALDI markdowns work

ALDI’s new weekly ad and its limited-time ALDI Finds start every Wednesday. Prices are low to begin with because most of the store is ALDI’s own brands, so the real markdowns are the Price Drops ALDI lists each week and the reduced stickers on fresh meat close to its sell-by date.

ALDI does not take manufacturer coupons, so the shelf price is the price. That makes it easy to compare: what you see in the ad is what you pay at the register.

Go early on Wednesday for the new ad and check the meat case for reduced stickers. Price Drops last for the week, so there is no rush on pantry items.

How Penny Meals finds them

Penny Meals reads ALDI’s Price Drops for your local store, with the regular price ALDI lists next to each one. Open the app, enter your ZIP, and the nearest ALDI shows up next to the other stores around you, so you can see where each item is cheapest this week.
