Ingredients

Prices are from Walmart the week of October 4, 2026. Sale prices change every week and differ by store.

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil and cook pasta according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  2. Meanwhile, drain the corn and halve the grape tomatoes.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and cook minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in cream, add corn and tomatoes, and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes until heated through.
  5. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet and stir to coat evenly with the sauce.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and fresh basil if using, then divide among bowls and serve.

Why it’s cheap

2 of the 9 ingredients were on sale at Walmart the week of October 4, 2026, led by great value golden sweet whole kernel corn at $4.00 instead of $6.72.

The sale items rang up $3.61 under their regular prices.

Penny Meals prices a dinner by the share of each package you actually cook, adds an estimated shelf price for anything that wasn’t on sale, and counts pantry staples like oil and salt as free. That came to $0.79 a serving, or $3.16 for 4 servings.
