Ingredients

Prices are from Walmart the week of October 11, 2026. Sale prices change every week and differ by store.

Steps

  1. Drain and rinse the beans. Drain the corn.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beans and corn, stirring occasionally until lightly toasted, about 4 minutes.
  3. Pour in the creamy lemon garlic sauce and stir well. Simmer for 8 to 10 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Dice the cucumber and stir in along with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Season with garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  5. Serve hot.

Why it’s cheap

4 of the 8 ingredients were on sale at Walmart the week of October 11, 2026, led by great value golden sweet whole kernel corn at $0.50 instead of $0.84.

The sale items rang up $1.53 under their regular prices.

Penny Meals prices a dinner by the share of each package you actually cook, adds an estimated shelf price for anything that wasn’t on sale, and counts pantry staples like oil and salt as free. That came to $1.13 a serving, or $4.52 for 4 servings.
